Plant-based brand Vantastic makes Veganuary easy
Veganuary has now become mainstream and a real trend. Each year, more and more people use January to try vegan alternatives for the first time or to add more plant-based options to their diets. Of course, this is made all the easier when there are brands that support you with delicious products and promotions.
Today we introduce you to Vantastic, a brand that offers an exciting range of products from delicious meat alternatives to vegan basics and sweet temptations. We spoke directly to Stephan Scherer, Product Manager at Vantastic.

VELIVERY: Can you tell us how long the Vantastic brand has been around and how this success story began?
STEPHAN: Vantastic has been around since 2004, and it’s a brand that our founder Tobias has put his heart and soul into. Our very first products were textured soy proteins, which are still some of our best sellers today. At the time, veganism was still something of an exotic concept, and many scoffed at the idea of a purely plant-based diet. But that’s exactly what drove and motivated us! We wanted to create a brand that would give vegans and anyone interested in a plant-based diet a point of reference at a time when vegan products were still in short supply. With Vantastic we want to show how delicious, varied and uncomplicated a vegan lifestyle can be.
VELIVERY: What is Vantastic all about?
STEPHAN: Our vision is to inspire people with taste, variety and sustainability, and to show how a plant-based diet can be enriching for everyone – not just vegans. We believe that good food brings people together and we want to inspire people to discover the diversity of plant-based foods.
Enjoyable and easy
Whether you’ve been vegan for a long time or are just curious, we want to show everyone how enjoyable and easy a plant-based diet can be. Not only do we want to reach committed vegans, but we also want to take people from all backgrounds on a delicious journey and play our part in creating a fundamental and sustainable change in the way we eat.
VELIVERY: What products or product categories does Vantastic include today and what role can they play in a daily vegan diet?
STEPHAN: Our range includes everything from vegan staples such as our versatile textured soy proteins to delicious chocolate bars and snacks – everything that makes a vegan heart beat faster. We are particularly proud of our textured soy proteins, which are natural, additive-free and high in protein and fibre. They provide a great basis for a balanced, plant-based diet and are real all-rounders in the kitchen.
We’re also active in the convenience area! Inspired by international flavours and dishes, our new fresh products bring the taste of the world straight to your plate – quickly, easily and deliciously. This makes plant-based eating an uncomplicated pleasure for everyday life.
From Bolognese and gyros to the ultimate breakfast pancakes
VELIVERY: Since one or two readers might have gotten hungry while reading this, what dishes can you conjure up with soy products and tofu, for example, and what are your personal favourites?
STEPHAN: I myself am a huge fan of our vegan Bolognese made with Vantastic Minced Soy! Even habitual meat eaters love it and ask for a second helping. It’s just as excellent for tacos fillings. But we also love making curries, kebabs and gyros with our Soy Strips. We especially like making marinated Tofu Teriyaki Sticks for bowls – when it comes to those, there are no limits to your creativity! And my two sons love our Fluffy Pancakes. To be honest, I had them developed to save a bit of time in the morning! 😊
VELIVERY: And what about desserts and sweet snacks for in-between?
STEPHAN: What can I say? Our Peanut Caramel Choc Bars are simply the tastiest vegan peanut caramel bars you can imagine! Our Happy Choc Drops are a must for fans of the two Ms – irresistible and perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth!
Easy-peasy: vegan products for every kitchen
VELIVERY: As we’re in the middle of Veganuary, how does Vantastic support people who are considering going plant-based or who are already vegan?
STEPHAN: We really do have something for everyone: from protein-rich soya textures to vitamin-packed yeast flakes, which add the perfect cheesy flavour to sauces or homemade pizza melts, to Seitan-Fix, which you can use to make your own plant-based meat creations such as schnitzels or nuggets. And, of course, lots of snacks and sweets for those little moments of indulgence in between. Our range is like an all-in-one carefree package for those who want to start eating plant-based – not just a variety of products, but precisely what you often miss when making the switch.
