Festive Burger with Cranberry and Onion Jam and Goat's Cheese Alternative

Ingredients

For the burgers:

2 tb oil
2 burger buns
70 g vegan goat's cheese alternative
20 g rocket salad
1 Handful salad sprouts
20 g mayonnaise

For the cranberry and onion jam:

1 tb olive oil
0.5 red onion, cut into slices
0.5 orange, juice
1 ts mulled wine spices
Some dark muscovado sugar
15 ml ruby port wine
45 g fresh cranberries

Preparation

1. Prepare the cranberry and onion jam: Firstly, heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion rings for about 5 minutes.
2. Then add the orange juice, spices, sugar and port wine and simmer the mixture over a low heat for 10 to 20 minutes.
3. Once the sauce has thickened, add the cranberries and simmer again over a medium heat for 10 to 20 minutes.
4. Finally, season with salt and leave the cranberry and onion jam to cool.
5. Prepare the burger: In a separate pan, fry the Redefine Meat burger patties until they have a golden-brown crust. Toast the burger buns at the same time. Season the patties with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Top the vegan patties with the goat's cheese alternative and place under the grill or in the oven on the highest temperature until the cheese alternative has melted slightly. Then spread the burgers with the prepared cranberry jam.
7. Finally, arrange the burgers with the remaining ingredients as desired and serve immediately.
8. We recommend serving the burgers with potato wedges. Enjoy your meal!
