Most Wheaty products are based on seitan, a traditional Asian foodstuff developed by Buddhist monks as a substitute for meat many centuries ago. Wheaty sources its raw materials as regionally as possible and promises not to destroy any habitats in the process of obtaining them. The company also supports animal welfare, culturural and environmental initiatives and associated local events. It even uses green electricity in its production.
