Long-established Lübeck brand Niederegger boasts not 100, not 150 but more than 200 years of experience. The name has long since become synonymous with quality marzipan. Niederegger is known, enjoyed and loved far beyond the gates of the historic city. And this new vegan product range sees the company pave the way for the future, with vegan cocoa and marzipan treats whose reputation for the best quality precedes them.
Indulgence with tradition
Not only does Niederegger have some downright timeless treats up its sleeve, but it also has a long history. Founded in 1806 by the master confectioner Johann Georg Niederegger, the crest of the brand still bears his initials to this day. The confectioner’s compositions supplied the Russian Tsar’s court in 1856, were awarded prizes at the 1873 World Exhibition in Vienna and were commissioned by the German Kaiser from 1908 onwards. The small Café Niederegger in the heart of the Hanseatic city is still the place to go for marzipan lovers from all over the world and has long been Lübeck’s secret landmark.
